“If you want to go fast, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.”
WH? WAR: A Voice of Collective Outrage Against Global War Violence
Through the WH? WAR campaign, we deliver a powerful message of collective outrage against the pervasive violence of war. Each victim of war affects not only themselves and their surroundings but also society as a whole. For this reason, we advocate for the highest quality support for innocent victims, with a special focus on children and young people. They should never bear the cost of war. While children cannot forget their traumatic experiences, they can learn to process them with the right guidance.
WH? WAR: A Voice for Everyone
Many feel powerless in the face of this global crisis. Some look away or feel guilty for their inability to act, while others are unwilling to join street protests. WH? WAR offers an alternative: by simply liking and sharing our posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, you can show that innocent victims are not forgotten. This solidarity campaign aims to create human connections as a counterbalance to inhumane acts of war.

International and Neutral
As a group of like-minded individuals from various countries, we consciously refrain from taking political stances. Our mission is universal: to support those affected by war, especially children and youth.
The Injustice Against Children
Children and young people never start wars, yet 460 million of them—nearly 1 in 10 worldwide—are affected by armed conflict. Evacuating children from war zones is only the first step. We must also help them process their war experiences so they can heal.
Beyond lacking basic necessities such as shelter, food, medical care, and education, these children have endured immense psychological suffering, which has long been overlooked. Addressing this is critical to ensuring their well-being and development.
War Child and Others
War Child, active for 30 years in 19 countries, collaborates with organizations like UNICEF, Save the Children, and SOS Children’s Villages to protect children. Their focus on mental health uses scientifically supported methods to continually improve care. WH? WAR aims to raise awareness about War Child in Belgium, making their expertise accessible to children and youth fleeing war.
In Flanders, organizations such as SOS Children’s Villages, Minor Ndako, and Solentra already contribute to the psychological care of these young victims. WH? WAR believes War Child’s approach can complement existing initiatives and hopes Belgians will support their work financially.
Symbolic Solidarity
Inspired by previous solidarity campaigns, such as white flags during the COVID-19 pandemic, WH? WAR calls on people to use the WH? WAR logo on social media. This symbolic act shows that we do not forget the victims of war. In the lead-up to the International Day of Human Solidarity on December 20, we ask everyone to use and share this logo.
